CHRIS KASPER & HEZEKIAH JONES LAUNCH MIDSUMMER “JOINT TOUR”
Philly’s Favorite Roots-Folk Acts Hit the Southeast & Midwest

PHILADELPHIA, PA (June 30, 2009) — CHRIS KASPER and HEZEKIAH JONES are hitting the road for a joint, two-week tour, July 18 to August 1.  (Complete schedule attached.)

Appearing at some of the finest venues across the Midwest and Southeast each will perform a set of old favorites and new material, each accompanied by the other, and backed by a small ensemble.  This tour offers their fast-expanding fan bases — and all fans of original folk and roots music — a chance to catch two of Philly’s finest on the same bill.

While either might be considered a “young” songwriter, both Kasper and Hezekiah have already penned and recorded a slew of deeply memorable songs.  Hezekiah has been likened to “a moody old folk 33 that’s been made aware of today’s lo-fi scene but opts out of the irony.”  (C|Net)  Kasper’s songs have been praised for their “warm, graceful melodies and deft acoustic stylings, burnished in bluegrass and folk influences.”  (The Intelligencer)

Kasper is promoting his just-released full-length effort “Chasing Another Sundown”, a collection of new songs that expands on his signature “dreamy acoustic” sound, while featuring his trademark haunting phrases and refrains.  Hezekiah is supporting the 2008 Yer Bird release, “Come To Our Pool Party”, a beautifully literate set prickly lyrics and soothing harmonies.
